Mission Statement:

The CSULB HFES student chapter maintains its own website. This website provides access to information about our chapter’s mission, officers and members, activities, and events. We also utilize the  website for registration for our annual regional conference. Beyond information about our chapter, we have links to other important human factors related sites, such as the national Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and other psychological societies.

Our Purpose

(1) Promoting the awareness of how human factors/ergonomics issues are related to many disciplines and careers.

(2) Exposing students to an interdisciplinary approach to the design, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of products and systems.

(3) Providing a forum for the presentation, discussion, and investigation, of human factors and ergonomics issues.

(4) Providing students with the opportunity to enhance professional development, community service, and networking with other students, faculty, and professionals interested in human factors and ergonomics issues.
